Kenneth Eugene Hanna, of Ashland, VA, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was born on March 13, 1941 to the late Albert Hanna and the late Ila Featherstone. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carol Hanna, and their daughter, Deborah Hale.

He retired from Alcoa (Reynold's) Metal Company in Richmond, VA in 2008 after 46 years of service. He was active in the church and attended Gwathmey Baptist Church in Ashland, VA.

He is survived by his sons, Garry Hanna and his wife, Pam, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Kenneth Hanna and his wife, Rachel, of Daytona Beach, FL; grandsons, Matthew Hanna of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Justin Hale and his wife, Emily, of Palm City Beach, FL; a great-grandson, Adam Hale; and a sister, Charlotte Appleton of Virginia.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Tony Smith officiating.
